Lakin Ogunbanwo is taking over Stranger

As part of Stranger’s (Lagos) celebration of fashion in March, the store will play host to reclusive fashion photographer Lakin Ogunbanwo as part of it’s new collaborative project with fashion industry people tagged “Stranger Store Keeper”. Ogunbanwo will be the first Stranger Store Keeper and will run the store from the 14th of March till Saturday the 19th.

As part of the collaboration the photographer will take over management of the space, rearranging it’s physical layout (a treat) for people who visit the store regularly. He is also going to go about merchandizing the store’s offerings his own way, and will most likely have some of his critically acclaimed images in the store for the duration of his takeover. Talk about taking over and remaking in your own image.

Look out for his take and material on the Stranger Instagram account and our coverage of his tenure as the store’s first ever Store Keeper on the blog from the 21st of March.

This would be a great opportunity to meet the photographer and delve into the vagaries of his mind, not something you should miss for anything.
