Lisp’s Paradise Bay collection is the very definition of summer chic

South African surfer chic label Lisp has just put out it’s Spring 16 collection ‘Paradise Bay’ and true to it’s name, the new collection looks like the model walked of the set of a chillwave music video. Lisp has been known to marry comfort and functionality through loose easy to wear clothing and this season builds on this aesthetic.

The Lisp Girl this season is a nomad, drifting from beach to cove to forest. The clothes this season are looser than ever, halternecked, maxi dress with exposed backs, high waisted, wide leg paisley print pants. There is a lot of colour and print motifs as well this season, paisley, tie-dye, abstract geometric motifs. Wide leg linen pants with tie closures and lace cropped blouses. A paisley bandeau bikini set and a tie up lace blouse.

Lisp manages to tick off all the summer essentials in one collection, and that’s quite the achievement. And there is no way you can talk about the new collection without talking about this excellent editorial which draws inspiration from the 70’s film Blue Lagoon. Beach and ocean references dominate the entire editorial, right down to the turquoise pendant on the model’s necklaces.

We love all of it.

It’s a limited collection, but which summer collection isn’t? Sometimes less, is definitely better.
