If you know anything about the Maju brand, you’ll know that it has always been unapologetic in its celebration of Nigerian women. In 2014, the brand revamped, embraced its status as a high street brand and quickly dominated the market in 2015 with well shot editorials, trend timely clothing capsules and shopping parties that expanded past the fashion bubble that is Lagos and sought to reach other cities like Abuja and Port Harcourt.
Maju just released a new style edit to drum up anticipation for their next shopping party on April 17th. Choosing to honor the brand’s tradition of celebrating ‘normal’ women, and staying true to the brand’s celebration of duos – as seen in its Rinnovo & La Sorella campaigns – The Style Duo Edit campaign is made of five pairs: new media women: Oge Agu (content creator Kamdora.com) & Nkem Marchie (actress) , on screen divas : Mimi Onalaja (TV host) & Inidima Okojie, (actress), sisters: Tarmar Awobotu (Top Model) & Folakemi Awobotu, (style blogger) Best Friends : Dodos Uvieghara (MUA & style blogger) & Tito Akomolafe (style & natural hair enthusiast), creative consultants : Dedun Olobayo (founder, StyleMeAfrica.com) & Zina Anumudu (cofounder, The Style Concierge)
The edit showcases different women from various walks of life, with one thing in common – their love for chic & comfortable clothing!
As an aside, it might really be time to rest those wide leg pants with the mini pleats, I’ve never seen it look good, not even on the models. It just drowns their silhouettes and looks incredibly unflattering.
