Tarmar Awobutu fronts the new Maju campaign

Accessible fashion brand Maju has released its official look book to complement its Blogger Edit media campaign released earlier in the week.

The campaign features veteran model Tarmar Awobutu (a real steal if you ask us) and newbie Jessica Chibueze. The look book shows a more compact collection than the more robust blogger edit that incorporates best sellers from previous collections and sees the label continue its theme of shooting duos for campaigns and editorials.

Now let’s talk clothes.

By and large, the new cache of clothes that Maju offers capitalizes on many of the current trends, such as the trumpet hem capri pants that are currently all the rage. It also offers cheaper alternatives for the pleated hems that features heavily in Maki Oh and Grey collections as well as brings back the much beloved check prints, brought into the mainstream by IAMISIGO’s Resort 15 collection, White Noise.

But the main grouse that the buying public has always had with Maju still persists. There are obvious tailoring mishaps, and Maju has not quite managed to offer us trans-seasonal staples that can be easily identified as Maju. It is something to look forward to.

The Maju shopping party is on the 17th of April, are you going?
