There’s a Shem Paronelli installation at Stranger

Alt. lifestyle store Stranger is having a month dedicating to celebrating Nigerian fashion and alternative fashion brand. The store is also rebooting its Salon series that last year, had fashion photographer and visual artist, Kadara Enyeasi and alt menswear designer Adeju Thompson show a curated selection of their works as well as take specialist orders from select clients.

This month’s installations will start with an exhibition/private consultation with premium accessories designer Shem Paronelli.

Shem Paronelli. The Evolution of Hooves Banner

Starting on the 13th all through to the 18th of March, Shem Paronelli will have an installation of “The Evolution of Hooves” chronicling the label’s extensive work with leather and unboxing it’s philosophy towards design. This is Ezemma’s first private Installation, though the brand has previously had installations at the 2014 and 2015 Lagos Fashion and Design Week’s exhibition tents.

Paronelli’s has been the hand behind several high profile accessories collaborations with designers like Lisa Folawiyo, Mai Atafo, Orange Culture, Maki Oh and Okunoren and it is great to see him finally get a platform to speak as a brand devoid of the influences of his many, many collaborators.

For the duration of this installation, Paronelli will reorganize a part of  the Stranger space to show their pieces, and everything on display will be available for purchase.

If ever there was a time to get out your wallets and support the ‘Made In Nigeria’ movement behind a brand that has actually earned the respect of some of the country’s most lauded designers, this would be it.
