Can we all talk about that breathtaking dress Nana Akua Addo wore to #AFRIMA2017?

ˈbrɛθteɪkɪŋ: astonishing or awe-inspiring in quality, so as to take one’s breath away.

At the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) that held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island last night, almost everything was perfect. On the red carpet, musicians, celebrities and fashionistas turned out in some of their best looks but one woman had a different plan.

Ghana’s most stylish celebrity, Nana Akua Addo went in for the kill. We would have used the ‘slay’ cliché but even that expression is no longer worthy.

In Ghana, Akua Addo is highly revered for her sublime taste in fashion and has even been described as Africa’s best dressed celebrity and at this rate, we can hardly argue.

Last night, she graced AFRIMA in a dress made by Nigerian designer, Rika Oto Fashion and that comes as no surprise considering the iconic designer is not new to dressing women in some of the most striking, fit-for-queens dresses you’ll find in these parts.

The crimson red number thrived on heavy feather detailing and a sheer top in dark brown. Then the back and the tail? Wait till we find the words to describe those.

*gasps for breath*

If by chance, the dress failed at grabbing your attention because you’re ‘bad like that’, there’s no way you would have missed her face jewelry. Some of us have called it a mouthpiece, a face mask and whatever else suits that indescribable wonder Akua Addo accessorised her outfit with. We hear it’s by French luxury designer, Maison Margiela and it’s 24k magic. Wheww!

We bet she’ll be making all best dressed lists this year end!
