When we found that the world premiere of The Wedding Party sequel was themed Arabian Nights, we could not quite box our emotions. It was a mix of excitement, huge anticipation and fear. The latter because we were too certain a lot of celebrities would flop on the interpretation of the theme; and they did flop.
The larger number of female celebrities who attended the premiere misinterpreted Arabian fashion for Indian and while we completely understand the confusion, we think some of them were set up to fail because “extra”.
From Morocco to Tunisia, Algeria, Lebanon and UAE, Arab fashion offers a wide variety of outfits and standalone pieces that reflect the tradition and Google would have sufficed for the lot of confused guests.
Just use Google next time, guys!
