Ebuka Obi Uchendu’s wedding was last weekend and he did the unthinkable.

We don’t think anyone was particularly surprised that Ebuka Obi Uchendu chose Mai Atafo to suit him and his grooms men for his celebrity wedding to Cynthia Obianodo in Abuja. The presenter has been a long time muse of the designer, even occasionally modelling for him.

What surprised us was just how many dress changes Ebuka was going to wow us with. He made not one, not two but four suit changes. Talk about a wedding extravaganza. In case you hadn’t seen them, (and you don’t have an instagram to go looking) here are the many iterations of Nigeria’s most fashionable groom.

Pre-Wedding.

Cynthia and Ebuka decided to have a late afternoon wedding. We suspect this was partly to allow their many celebrity well-wishers fly in to Abuja from Lagos. But that afforded Ebuka ample time for a pre-wedding bonding session with his groomsmen and maybe a little wedding photography. Ebuka chose a teal jacquard paisley tuxedo and a black tie, just the right mix of party to get the mood started.

WEDDING CEREMONY

For the actual wedding ceremony, Ebuka switched his snazzy jacquard textile suit for a classic black tux. We’re not surprised because Ebuka is known for his attention to detail, and beside a Vera Wang dress, you want to look your very best.

RECEPTION CHIC

For the wedding reception, Ebuka traded his classic but boring-ish day tux for a printed tux, to complement his wife’s own dress change into a flirty off shoulder Andreah Iyamah bridal dress. Switching ties too and throwing in a lapel pin helped add some pizazz to the already snazzy look. Ebuka earned his fashion killa stripes with this one.

FOREVER AFTER

To end festivities, Obi-Uchendu gave us his final dress change, slipping out of his party suit to team up with his grooms men in a forest green day suit. The least glamorous look of the night, (cos our groom is functional like that,) meant that he could hoist his wife into their getaway car without breaking a sweat. Cynthia did a dress change too, ending the festivities in Wana Sambo.

Ebuka just schooled us on what is possible for grooms. Happy married life folks!

P:s: We are wondering how Banky W is going to surpass this when his time comes, if it was us we’d just elope.
