Here’s Mille Collines Spring 16 campaign, complete with fashion film

South African design label, Mille Collines was one of our favourites at the 2016 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Johannesburg Spring showcase with it’s pan-African aesthetic celebrating all kinds of African women. We’d fallen in love with the head wrapped glamour and it’s amorphous silhouettes that proved flattering to many body types.

Now the label has released it’s editorial campaign for the collection, a proper event in and of itself that drew high profile models from all across Africa including, Face of Africa Winner Ghanaian Kate Mensah and Nigerian Janet Otobo and shot by ace South African fashion photographer Aubrey Jonnson.

The label celebrated the launch of the film with an exhibtion in Capetown that featured the models as well as the inimitable Happy Umurerwa.

Here are the images.

And here is the label’s fashion film which sees the label celebrate the woman the collection is made to inspire. It’s quite the work of art if you asked us.
