How to wear all red without looking like a Nollywood extra

Wearing red head to toe is a fashion risk most people are unwilling to take but when done right, the result can be stunning. If done wrong, you are likely to end up looking like an extra from a cult scene in a bad Nollywood movie.

Here’s how to never get it wrong.

Keep it simple. Red is already such a loud colour, so your outfit should feature simple clean cut lines.

If you are wearing co-ords, make sure both pieces are one shade of red, unlike with colours like yellow, trying to go for an ombre look won’t work.Your accessories on the other hand, don’t have to be the same shade.  If there is a third colour in the mix, then you’ll be able to get away with pairing two different shades together.

Keep your hair, makeup and accessories as simple as possible.

Have fun with it. Don’t let the bold colour strictly dictate the style of your clothes, by always trying to keep it simple.
