Nominations are open for the Genevieve Beauty Awards

Finally, the Nigerian beauty industry is getting specific recognition for its contributions to the Nigerian fashion and entertainment industries. It only took nearly a decade but after fighting for recognition for their work and then commensurate payment, beauty enthusiasts are getting artistic recognition through the Genevieve Beauty Awards.

The Genevieve Beauty Awards, organized by Genevieve magazine, one of Nigeria’s most influential womens magazines is a way for the magazine to shine a light on how big the country’s beauty and wellness industries have grown (in case you haven’t noticed any of the international make up fairs or the influx of international beauty brands like Elizabeth Arden and MAC into the country). It will help reinforce and celebrate the fact that the beauty and wellness industry in Africa is truly a market that impacts the economy and society positively.

It is the first of its kind in the industry and will serve as a platform to promote and encourage developments, strides and achievements recorded in the growing industry.

Award categories as well as criteria for nominations in these categories are dedicated to representing talent, innovative brands and products in the beauty and wellness market.
