Ogaga and IJeoma’s Love Story & Traditional Wedding | Akara Ogheneworo Photography

Last week, we featured Ogaga and Ijeoma’s prewedding photoshoot (HERE).

Their wedding photographer has now shared their traditional wedding photos and love story with us…enjoy!

Ijeomas story of how they met: I went to meet a friend after work, who insisted that I accompany her to a work event. I reluctantly followed her, since she promised we would be there just for a short while . At the event I sat quietly as I was a little bit under the weather, but i couldn’t help noticing this “Morris Chesnut like” looking happy chap dancing away and I thought “someone’s happy”. Coincidentally, some minutes later, the happy dude aka Gaga came up to me, chatted briefly and asked for a dance. I politely turned him down because I didn’t have “energy ” for him; I was having a headache and definitely not in a dancing mood. Fast forward to some months later, I went to the gym to bring sexy back lol and I saw the same guy there, but this time he just kept staring and staring, making me feel a bit self conscious; i noticed he was even lifting weights heavier than he could carry “lool”. He walked over to me at some point to say Hi, and being in a better mood, we got talking. That was how we became gym buddies; we got so close to the extent that on one occasion Gaga even followed me to the aerobics classes where he was the only male ‘lol’. We kept seeing regularly at the gym and from there our friendship progressed, till one day Gaga suggested we hangout outside the gym. At this point some of his swag and sweet mouth had rubbed off on me and I was happy to take our friendship outside the gym. He would always do the sweetest things, yet he would be forming Warri boy. 3 years later our friendship is waxing stronger and I am about to get married to the love of my life and start our journey till forever after…………….

Ogagas story

Hmmnn, i’m really not much of a story teller o, so please pardon me if I just refer you to Madam Jizzle’s story above………..lol……… Ok, just to make a “little” addition and some corrections to whatever “misrepresentations” you have read there – it may be nice to add that when I first met her, well, marriage was the last thing on my mind; I was just a man of the world looking to expand my social network (if you know what i mean). So on this blessed day, some 3years ago, I put on my Alpha male swag and went to meet this sharp looking babe I saw at a friends party, but guess what? this babe brutally turned down my advance (Cheiiii, see falling hand). I knew the girl she came with and just went to meet her like, who’s this snub she brought to this our party (in my proud Naija man’s voice – “which kain rubbish be this”). I took it in good faith though, remembering he who fights and runs away………you know the rest.

As fate would have it, I saw the same girl some weeks later in my gym, and just ignored her (had to form my own bad guy P), but I must confess she looked extremely beautiful and well endowed in her gym apparel like nothing I had ever seen before. I kept going at my routine, but at some point i just felt like, “oboy, why you dey dull?” So I decided to go say “Hi” believing, at worst, she would fall my hand again – at least it wasn’t gonna be the first time, but to my surprise she was all nice and chatty. After all the plenty talk, I sha tried to collect her phone number, but the babe dulled me and said not to bother, we would always see here now (in my mind i was like na wa ooo, girls forming & packaging sha)… I wasn’t gonna be deterred though and so I took matters into my hands and called her friend (my colleague, Isioma) and told her, ermnnnn, that babe of the other day, ermmmnnn, can I have her phone number, and she burst out laughing, after all your forming and insulting her the other day…….I sha begged and begged and bribed and traded till I got it. lol

Some days later, I called and Bbae was shocked how I got her number, but then I put up my gentle man swag (no be everytime warri style dey work), and got her so hooked on gist, she didn’t even realize when she started doing the gisting -trust me I had called my friend and downloaded enough data about her to know just how to get her attention….So we kept in touch for a while and kept meeting at the gym, and this babe was friendly and totally different from the snub I thought she was; She confessed to me upon my enquiry that she had a nagging headache when I approached her the other day in the house party (ehen I for say….no wonder she turned down a swaggalicious guy like me..lol)

So our very first official date: This babe and I had planned to meet o, and go somewhere special, but she decided to go make her hair that day, and as usual time was running out, so I just asked to know the saloon, as I thought she was just posting me. After getting the saloon details, I decided to surprise her by going over there to meet her (well and partly to confirm that she was actually there “ALONE” – she doesn’t know this part though..lol.) I saw her and my heart melted – she was absolutely gorgeous with that new hair do. I blushed and felt like a real “Boss” knowing she was making her hair just to look good for me, although she still claims till tomorrow she was making it because of work the next day (Story). At this point I had realized I liked this babe and was ready to do anything humanly possible just to get her to be mine (except aerobics – don’t listen to anything she says about aerobics (sure it was my body double that was there that day, not me)………Well, after she was done with the hair, we just ended up chatting by our cars, and rather than going out, we went to her place to eat left overs of what she had cooked for lunch….. We gisted for a while and in as much as I didn’t feel like leaving, I just had to at some point…..”As in the babe no wan hear say MAN dey her house once day don dark” ….

So lets just fast forward to now, before I bore you with details of other dates and very dry activities that ensued thereafter….. Just know I chased, and wooed and prayed….. like I even bought her a cute dog (our first child – Mia) and finally, the good Lord smiled on me, touched Ijeoma’s heart and the snub I once thought she was has now turned out to be the love and very essence of my life, and here we are getting married……#JiGA2016…..

We refer to ourselves as the “TMIWF”…..and have a special gift awaiting anyone who can decode our special secret acronym….Gift would be presented on the wedding day (Maybe an Iphone 6 or something like that……lol)..
