Best known for his role as the selfless, self-sacrificing superhero Captain America in Marvel’s multi-billion-dollar Avengers franchise, Chris Evans has been named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2022.
Much to his delight, the actor reacted to the title, beaming with glee, revealing his mother would be ecstatic about the news.

The 41-year-old described the achievement as “the road to the cool table which I was not at.”
Embracing his new reality with a laugh, Evans said, “This whole thing is tough to be interviewed about. It feels like a weird form of humble bragging.”
However, he isn’t looking forward to some good-natured ribbing from his close friends. “This will just be a point of bullying,” he jokes. “It’s ripe for harassment.”
