Znzorzi Adby’s ‘The Untouchable Gentleman’ is amazing

Zimbabwean fashion label Znzorzi Adby has just released its first 2016 collection for its menswear line themed “The Untouchable Gentleman Collection”, showcasing a new line of formal dress shirts and it is quite the campaign. We’d even dare that many menswear brands across Africa need to take a critical look at their lookbook and take lessons.

First off, the Znzorzi Adby look book is precise and concise, they take care to brand each image with their logo so the clothes cannot get mistaken for another brand. Then they offer all the important information about the pieces from the new collection, right to the available colours for each piece. It is so detailed it looks more like a line-sheet than a look book but we aren’t complaining.

Now let’s talk about the clothes.

The label focuses only on dress shirts for this menswear collection, streamlining their design efforts and maximizing creativity. They tackle the dress shirt from many perspectives, updating it for the man they aim to attract. A man not afraid to wear a minimalist yet overstated dress shirt. They take the classic pleated tuxedo shirt and rework it, favouring horizontal pleating and contrast fabrics. They also use extensive piping in their pieces and expert use of layered fabric to dress up their simpler looks. The true genius of Znzorzi is that their shirts all translate from runway to real life easily, no matter how conceptual they are. That is quite the feat.
