The excited bride, Tobi shares their story with us below:
Tunde and I first met at a friend’s house in school (Olabisi Onabanjo University). He was in a relationship so I wasn’t even looking. But I liked him as a friend and I looked up to him spiritually.
He gave me sound advice a lot of times. He used to tease me a lot. Lol! And because he’s a naturally funny person, everyone wanted to be friends with him. I left OOU in 2009/10 ish. And by then, I wasn’t really in touch cause I didn’t want any girlfriend issues.
Fast forward to 2012, July 7th precisely…I had posted pictures from a friend’s wedding on Facebook and he commented. He used to jokingly call me, ‘Opeke’ and I used to wonder, who’s this Ibadan boy? We got talking, as we hadn’t seen in two years at this point. We talked a lot.
Most of the day infact. One thing led to the other. Loads of sleepless nights, praying for each other, enduring the distance, fighting and making up, here we are at the end of it.. Starting a home forever.. He’s the best God had planned for me all along..
