Classy & colorful! Beautiful photos from Fatima & Yemi’s outdoor Dubai wedding

Fatima and Owoyemi’s relationship started off as a purely platonic one as they were family friends and had known each other since childhood.

Yemi however left Nigeria for the UK in 2005 to work as an IT Consultant but still kept in touch with Fatima.

Calls followed a few months later as Fatima was keen on seeking advice from Yemi on her career choices, university and life in the UK in general.Calls would usually last till the early hours.

” I think she was actually prospecting me on the sly and I had no idea!

Anyway, she eventually migrated to the UK in 2007 and enrolled at the University of Aberdeen then Surrey to study Nutrition and Nursing in Bucks New University.

 

It came as no surprise to everyone that we would go on and start dating. We dated for a while and had a beautiful son in 2012. I popped the big question to her on her 24th birthday party dinner,  and of course she said yes! All my phone cares and counselling had certainly not gone in vain!” Yemi narrated.

Their Dubai wedding:

We got married at Arabian Ranches Golf Club. We were sick of seeing the same type of ballroom weddings in Dubai and while we were not interested in outdoing anyone, we wanted to treat our guests to a refreshingly different destination wedding experience.
