Ahead of their February 20 wedding, Ifedayo Adu and Pelumi Akinbodewa have shared their love story and wedding introduction photos with us.
They met about eight years ago in the university and they’ve been best of friends since then and so fond of each other. We would like you to have a look at their introduction and prewedding shoots.
The Proposal–From the Bride
My baby rarely tells lies, so when he does, it’s easy for me to know. He will be trying to use 10 more lies to cover that lie up (Its always for a big surprise). He will later confess to me from the beginning to the end when the deed has already been done. I, therefore, won’t tell you I didn’t suspect anything, I just wasn’t certain. Some days to our formal Introduction, he started making secret phone calls, most especially in d toilet #smiles. Little did I know he was planning it big with Seun and Korede. They were having secret dance rehearsals in Ado Ekiti while I was in Ibadan, serving my Fatherland. I think I planned it all myself. I suggested that we should go somewhere on the 24th of May 2015 to celebrate his brother, Oluwatosin and his girlfriend, Comfort’s Relationship Anniversary. Little did I know that he had invited our friends to the venue. I was shocked. That was the height of all the surprises I av ever gotten from him.
Seun and Korede started dancing and he later joined. I was short of words. As I stood watching Him, My head was ruminating on how much effort had gone into the planning, how I never dreamt of any of this. I was shy. After the dance, he knelt down and asked me to marry him. I could feel his body shaking and sweat dripping from of his body. I asked him to stand up and he did. I kissed him over and over without saying YES. Smith Abayomi-Esan asked him to go back on his knees and ask again. He humbly did same and I said YES!!!
I will say YES again in the next few days and this will be for the rest of my life. Am so happy to be your Fiancée and your wife to be. You are an amazing man!!! Am grateful to God that am in safe hands. #TheChoosenone.
