Jules’ Brownstone, The Intern
Anne Hathaway’s character, Jules, who runs an online fashion site, shares a Park Slope, Brooklyn, brownstone with her young family. A renovated home in the nearby Clinton Hill neighborhood served as the shooting location.
The Red Keep, Game of Thrones
The hit television series, Game of Thrones, is filmed across Europe, Africa, and Iceland. The most important location in the fictional country of Westeros is King’s Landing (filmed in Dubrovnik, Croatia), where the magnificent Red Keep presides over the city. The castle serves as the home of the Iron Throne and the royal family.
The Von Trapp Family Home, The Sound of Music
While the façade of Frohnburg Palace served as the entrance to the Von Trapp family home, another nearby palace provided the lakeside gardens and vista. Named Schloss Leopoldskron, this large rococo estate overlooking the pond Leopoldskroner Weiher is never actually glimpsed in the film.
Highclere Castle, Downton Abbey
The beautiful English estate where the television drama Downton Abbey is filmed, has been the home of the Carnarvon family since 1679. Many of the castle’s incredible antiques and works of art are featured on the show.

The digitally-enhanced mansion from Baz Luhrmann’s 2013 film was modeled after Gold Coast estates on New York’s Long Island.
