A blend of colors, kids, people and photos – Omolola and Olaoluwa

Omotola and Olaoluwa shared their wedding vows at St. Paul’s Anglican church, Isolo Lagos and the wedding reception took place at Welcome Centre Hotel, International Airport Road, Ajao Estate.

It was a blissful event with family and friends giving so many great testimonies about the couple.

The gorgeous bride’s maids looked very chic in their cream and pink dresses with lots of embellishments with the groom’s men looking dapper in suits.

Engagement

Their Love story:

We met when I was in my 2nd year in the university(Ajayi Crowther University) my next door room mate Mamah said she had a friend who wanted a girlfriend and she felt i was the the best for him. she gave him my number and we started talking, few weeks after we has started talking, i went on Chrismas break and that gave me opportunity to meet him for d first time… we kept the friendship going but I never dated him.

In 2009, I met another guy whom I dated… i and laolu stayed as friends all through our relationships with other people… at some points we dated and broke up and I had told my friends then, i couldnt date him because of his height and all, i had imagined a tall guy as my husband (lol)..

In 2011 after graduation, I realized it’s not all about the height, it’s about who makes me happy and who gives me peace of mind and most of all who would b there with me all through life’s journey, i started thinking differently. laolu has always being there, he never left. He always told me I was his wife and all… sincerly he had it all, he makes me happy, gives me peace of mind and I know he will always be there for me. And so, we started dating Oct 2011. And trust me it’s being full of ups and downs and it’s being the best experience ever..

The proposal
After a year of dating laolu I wondered why I had decided to miss out on the good stuffs (lol)… i was relocating to the United States , we both talked about the future and how we would see each other and all. We made a solid plan to live by.

Oct 12 was a day to our anniversary, myself and Banke had gone shopping for gifts and all, we had talked about my travel plans and she asked me what happens now, (with laolu) and I remember I had told her, I have no idea… Laolu called me and we made plans to go for lunch, the next day.

On the 13th , he picked me up and asked if I wanted to go to the island for lunch, I thought of the traffic and stress of going that far so we decided to go to our favorites spot, Zen’s place(a Chinese restaurant in ikeja). When we got there, he told them table for two and they directed us upstairs (I have being to this place so many times but never being upstairs), we got upstairs and a gentleman opened a door for us and behold I saw familiar faces , I was shocked to d marrow and wondered what this was all about.

For a second I thought a proposal but then They wheeled in a cake inscribed “happy anniversary, I will miss u Omotola” I felt emotional, and what a beautiful way to tell me bye and an easy way for the thought of proposal to slip away from my mind.

I went to powder my nose and when I got back, I sat down to eat and I felt sumtin bhind me, I turned and he was right there on his knees and he asked me the most powerful question and I said yes and the journey has being full of all sorts, but am thankful we are still standing. And this just shows what I said in the very beginning,I needed a man that will be there all through life’s journey; and thats a true definition of my soon to be hubby… I cannot wait to begin the rest of my life with him. He makes my smiles ten times bigger, my laugh ten times bigger. I couldn’t ask for anything more.
