AFRICA FASHION WEEK LONDON 2023: DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT (Part 1)

AFRICA FASHION WEEK LONDON 2023: DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT (Part 1)

As the glitz and glamour of international fashion weeks unfold, a longstanding beacon of authentic design and representation, Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL2023), announces its electrifying return. With a stellar track record spanning over a decade, it’s no surprise that the energy radiating from AFWL is palpable, especially after their splendid performance at the recent Africa Fashion Week Brasil.

However, change is on the horizon for the esteemed event. The iconic Freemasons’ Hall, which has been home to AFWL for six memorable years, will no longer serve as the venue due to ongoing construction. But every cloud has a silver lining! The event will nostalgically move back to London Olympia, reminiscent of the 2014-2016 seasons.

AFWL2023 promises a richer experience than ever before. The inaugural UK Africa Trade Expo will kick off the event on Friday 27th October, offering attendees a blend of engaging panel discussions, interactive workshops, and an array of exhibitor stands to explore. The ensuing days promise a burst of African creativity with exhibitor presentations, the renowned catwalk showcases, and the culminating Black History & Lifestyle Awards x AFWL VIP Gala event.

For those interested, there are still a few slots available for designers and exhibitors. Now, let’s dive into the profiles of some of the incredible talents gracing AFWL2023.
