ARISE Fashion Week, Africa’s premier fashion event, has announced its lineup of nearly 30 designers for its 20th edition on February 2-4, 2023.
The runway will feature returning favorites like Ituen Basi, NKWO, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, Lisa Folawiyo, and Tiffany Amber, as well as international designers like Bianca Saunders and Xuly Bet.
Ghanaian brand Ajabeng will return after competing in the “30 under 30: The New Stars” competition in 2020, where Kenneth Ize won. ARISE intends to improve representation from Northern Nigeria, with designers like Hudayya, Ameer by Ameer, and Mariya Sanusi making their debut.
Other first-time designers include youth-led brands and renowned Malian designer Awa Meite. ARISE celebrates its history while driving the African fashion industry forward.
With the theme “Future Forward”, the anniversary event will take place in Lagos and feature jazz-themed performances.
According to a statement released by the organisers, it is a celebration of African design and ARISE’s role in promoting musical and design talents.
