Lovebirds, Shola and Adeshina met on the 31st of August 2012 and got married a few weeks ago.

The lovebirds met through one of Shola’s friends, Lamide. She had just got back from that fateful afternoon when Lamide visited her and while chatting up, he teased her about her boyfriends.

I love you more than the distance between us, I love you more than any obstacle that could try and come between us. I love you the most |
More like “awon oko e nko” and she replied saying she had just a boyfriend not boyfriends.
He teased her further by saying “Is he one of all these pencil jeans guys in School?” and she said No.
“I don’t do Pencil guys, they are not always matured”
And that’s how the name Adesina came into their discussion.

“I have a matured guy for you then. He saw your photos on my phone and he really wants to meet you, he likes you alot..he is melting for you”
and she teased him in yoruba saying “hehe, let him melt till Jesus comes o”

The discussion kinda ended there until 4days later. Lamide called again to tell her that Adeshina was pestering him on her case….so Shola eventually agreed to have him give out her phone number to the ‘melting’ guy.

And then he called!
“Around 7pm on the evening of that same day, my phone rang and when I picked it up, the caller turned out to be Adeshina. He said “Babe, I am Adeshina, got your number from Lamide…” I was angry because he used the word ‘babe’…but after he apologized, we started talking.

I love you and that’s the beginning and end of everything

He said ever since he saw my picture on Lamide’s phone he had not been feeling fine and I responded by asking him to go and see a medical doctor so that the Doctor could help fix him up…and then he said that, “What I mean is that I have been thinking about you since I saw your photos, you make my heart go ting-a-ling-a-ling, you dey make my heart go kedike…”

Sometimes, it’s hard to find words to tell you how much you mean to me. A lot of times, I don’t say anything at all. But I hope someday, you’ll understand, having you is what I live for

Unfortunately for him, I was in a relationship then so I told politely told him off and asked him to stop thinking about another Man’s girlfriend.

If I knew I would be falling in love with an angel, I would have searched for you harder and found you sooner.

But he didn’t quit, he replied by saying that he was sure he will stay date me eventually.

He started calling me all the time and we would gist endlessly for hours…eventually i fell in love with him! He was able to talk me out of the previous relationship i was in..i broke up with the other guy and chose Adeshina…and I do not regret the decision.
