Looks like our glam fashionistas are buying into this trend, and it will most likely be huge, love it or not in 2016!

The Avant Garde Gele was introduced by Funmi Olurinola, the CEO Abeke Makeovers, a makeup and headgear specialist with studio in Lekki, Lagos.

She launched the project three months ago saying “I have been looking for a Gele style for people who are show stoppers and trend setters, who are bored with our usual Gele style because they have tied one too many of them. I have finally created it and I’ll be showing you three of them. All were tied using the same method but with each bring out unique shapes depending on the shape of the face and the persons personal style, here you go”

We sure can’t wait to see all the many ways to rock this fabulous Gele.

Good morning instafam. Meet @ebigoo1. She normally doesn’t tie Gele for any reason but she got excited when she saw some of my designs and although Saturday was crazy we had to pull some stunts to do her gele. Another makeup artist @makeupbynara did her makeup . @nhn_couture made her outfit and she says @chowmeinng made her bootylicious body haha. Meanwhile help us decide which fitted her face most, I preferred her gele at the center for her face shape but she liked it at the side.

This dark chocolatey client was dolled up by Jennifer one of abekemakeovers artists but gele was by me. Her pictures were so beautiful but they are not showing on my phone. Computer geeks help! I’m sending pictures from my MAC to my Android and a few are showing but others keep saying can’t generate thumbnail. Any solutions?

So this client of mine never wears makeup but when she came she said “you know what? Just give me the whole 9 yards except lashes”. When we were done she loved it. Some Internet trolls are looking to cause trouble where there’s none. FYI the only similarity these geles have is that they are all round, each of them have their individual characteristics. Although the second was inspired by the first they didn’t turn out the same way. While the third literally looks like the petals were about to pour out because the edge is turned outwards. One of my strengths is I can work a single concept in many different ways. I hope matter go settle now.

The third one. And yes they are all geles tied with Aso Oke with noth more than 4 pins. One of the best things is they dont hurt your ears and youll be the belle of the ball or if you prefer, the talk of town.
