On Saturday 13th February, design and luxury enthusiasts enjoyed the Valentine-inspired #AlaraLovesYou, an open house day-party held at ALARA, the eclectic luxury store in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The concept store hosted a select few to an afternoon of Valentine installations, high fashion, and complimentary-themed treats. For many guests, this was their last opportunity to browse from a carefully curated display of objects of African and international origin, and they shared their delight at the memorable afternoon.
The crowd was quintessentially Lagos — a mix of artists and high society all savouring the stunning views of the David Adjaye-designed retail boutique. Special guest, DJ Obi, played on the ‘in-store’ decks, while guests explored the multi-level design gallery and others socialised with each other.
Glass after glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne was served and perfectly paired with innovative cuisine by NOK, Alara’s fine dining restaurant, which served savoury skewers, sweet heart confectionery and more Valentine-inspired fare.
