There will be an Artist Lecture by Ike Ude on the Performative Essence of Fashion and the Fashioned-Self come Saturday, October 17.
Ude is a Nigerian-American photographer, performance artist, author, publisher, and style icon. He is best known for his conceptual photographic portraits that explore issues of representation and sexual, gender, cultural, and stylistic identity. Ude has also been included in the Vanity Fair magazine International Best Dress List in 2009, 2012, 2013, and 2015 on the Artsy Editorial list of 10 Masters of the Self-Portrait, and in an NPR interview in March, 2015.
The event is set to take place at the Ford Foundation later in the day.
