Ashish
The “king of sequins” created his autumn/winter 2016 collection inspired by a box of crayons.
Every colour under the sun strutted, danced and shimmered down the runway: coral, pink, purple, yellow, blue, green, etc. There were strong references to the 70s – wide-leg trousers with long side splits, plunging cowl necks and slinky slip dresses – updated with a splattering of sequins and tassels. Fur coats – both short and long – even had beads interspersed in the fabric.
Each model accessorised with a colour-coordinated afro wig, sky-high heels and an aura of playfulness.
