Love & Football |Funke & Ayo’s Love story will make you smile (photos)

How they met?

Funke narrating; We met at a mutual friend’s birthday party in East London in 2010. He approached me at the after party but I felt he was just an unserious guy. Few weeks after, I went with my brother to his five -aside football game at goals in Dagenham on a Thursday year 2010 where we met again. Due to my busy schedule I stopped going but my sister came home every Thursday after the game to rant about  a guy called Enny, and the guy keeps bugging her about me… Curious me, I went to the game again just to find out who the guy is (Must say he is a very good football player and seeing him in his kit was a real turn on….. wink!!). We exchanged BBM pins that day and we got chatting.

After a few weeks chatting on BB, he has persuaded me to give him my number on a couple of times which I refused, I finally gave in and gave him after much begging. At this point Ayo must have asked me out a few times with me telling him NO as girls normally do. I decided to give him a chance as friends at first but that grew and waxed stronger into more than been friends and finally I was happy to call him my man on the 27th of January 2011… Lol. He is a complete gentle man, for our first date, he actually cooked which I think was quite unusual for a guy on a first date but I have to be honest that definitely set it off.

After 3 years of dating and numerous cooking dates , he proposed on the 5th of February 2014 which happens to be his D.O.B. It was meant to be a day to celebrate him but instead he made it about both of us… I remember him saying clearly that from that day henceforth,  we celebrate everything, anything together. The good times and the bad ones.
