Multidisciplinary artist Mode Aderinokun launched the Studio of Modé gallery and Store located at 4 Olumo Street Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, on Sunday 14th of June 2015.
On arrival, guests were treated to complimentary glasses of Laurent-Perrier Champagne. It was a true visual experience as upon entry into the gallery, visitors were promptly immersed in the vision the artist Mode Aderinokun conveys through the art and gallery space.
A work of art in itself, the gallery takes visitors on a visual journey of Mode’s growth and diversity as an artist. Inspired by her Yoruba roots, mode seamlessly translates that into her work and the space. Her photography, paintings and signature sketches left guests with a deeper understanding of her aesthetic. The calming effect of the gallery and store puts one in good stead to understand and really appreciate the art alongside the story told by each piece.
Guests were able to purchase artwork and accessories including tote bags, greeting cards, t-shirts, iPad and laptop skins as well as mobile phone accessories on-site in the Studio of Mode store.
Mode Aderinokun dedicates the space to her late father, Mr. Olutayo Aderinokun, who was a patron of the arts, writer and an art enthusiast.
