What do you do when your fiancé calls off your wedding just a few hours before you say your vows??? Cry? Call off the entire event? Stab him? or feed the homeless?
Well that’s exactly what happened to a Sacramento, California bride to be this weekend gone past. Her fiancé got cold feet on the day of their wedding, leaving her with a non refundable $35,000 ceremony meant for 120 people.
So you know what she did? Rather than let her anger get the better of her and call off the whole event, the 27 year old and her mother turned a negative situation into a positive! They decided to use the event to treat the less fortunate.
They invited homeless people (families and kids) & treated them to the fancy meal at the wedding, which included appetizers, salad, gnocchi, salmon, and a roast.
Her mom Kari Duane later said,
Even though my husband and I were feeling very sad for our daughter, it was heartwarming to see so many people be there and enjoy a meal
To lose out on something so important to yourself and then give it to someone else is really giving, really kind,
As for the non-refundable honeymoon to Belize? The bride went on it with her mom!
