These are the three designers Mimi Onalaja wore as host of The Future Awards Africa 2017

Television show host, Mimi Onalaja and her three outfits are definitely one of the many talking points from the 12th edition of The Future Awards Africa that held last night.

Before D-day, this year’s event had already spurred conversations with its thematic invites and a dress code that read “glam with a touch of culture”. Our official style guide equally sent the signal that guests were going to go all out to interpret the script with memorable outfits and accessories.

Mimi Onalaja, who hosted alongside Adekunle Gold, went through three outfit changes and had GLAM stamped all over her in all three looks.

Her first look was a flowing lilac dress by Tope FnR that was mostly chiffon but brought on its touch of culture with its aso oke bandeau top and side strip. It was a dress fit for princesses and Mimi did look like one.

For her second look, Mimi chose a simple jumpsuit by Tubo. The heavily ruffled top was all the drama that was necessary to perfect the look. She paired the jumpsuit with gold strappy sandals and white earrings while keeping her neck bare.

The final look was a red dress that spoke perfection with every detail. Fast-rising designer, Fablane by Derin makes gorgeous dresses and even better ones in red; but with Mimi, she went all out. The thigh-high slit dress shone as she stood on stage to close the event.
