Last month, we brought you Bolu and Tosin’s magical engagement shoot.
Their e-session taught us one thing “Love is a living thing. Love is the reason for existence. When it finds you, you live more fruitfully.”
The lovebirds have now walked down the aisle and their wedding photographer, Kevin Obosi has shared moments from their real wedding which held at the Landmark event center, Lagos, with us.
I have a list of favourite brides and grooms. I pray for them all the time and I can tell you, Bolu and Tosin are on that list. These two people reminded me how it feels to be loved and how to feel in love in a relationship.
When their wedding day came, I was excited and eager to watch this beautiful couple get joined in holy matrimony. Come on this journey of love and see it with me. It started early in the morning as they all start. With the sun rising beautifully in the east, the bride woke up to the sound of music that ushered in a day she was never to forget. The day where she wedded Tosin Adewumi, the man who had stolen her heart and given his in exchange. As a demonstration of that love, he sent her red roses first thing in the morning and how much she smiled at the sight as she got ready for her wedding day, putting all those little things that so much time and money had been spent on to make the day perfect.
Bolu had gone on to ensure she was surrounded by her best friends so where ever she turned she had a smiling face and how she made those faces smile with the thank you gift she bought for them.
And smile they did. Meanwhile as Bolu was getting ready, you could see her seriously looking into the future with Bolu and the things they would do together. Meanwhile, over to Tosin’s, there was a bunch of happy guys, happily celebrating the giving away of their sister. They just were in a hurry to get ready to go help her tie the knot. Why? You will know later.Keep reading. Tosin was all calm and cool about his getting ready. And yes he is the perfect gentleman. He was ready almost as soon as he started. That was how eager he was to be beside Bolu, to say their vows. These ladies do not hurry when it comes to the matters of beauty. They take their time. though, honestly that early in the morning, some of us were more concerned with the state of our tummies, than how our lipsticks made us look radiant. But then, that is not a matter for consideration. The only thing that was up for consideration was Bolu getting ready and how fast she was going about that task. Trust me, she was. She kept saying, I have to be there on time. So leading her two princesses, Bolu marched out into the hall way of the Eko Hotel, Lagos.
Hurrying or not, we quickly took out a little bit of her time to take a few shots of this beautiful bride. and her fun bridal party! But we didn’t have much time to do that before we were marching into church hand in hand to witness this beautiful ceremony. One of the rarest sights however was this. I have seen a lot of brides walk down the aisle with their fathers. What happened in this particular case i do not see a lot. Father and daughter were all smiles as they both strolled into Church. Sharing jokes and laughing giddily. That laughter continued when she got to the front of the aisle to stand with Tosin. That tells you all you need to know about the two of them right? Tosin was the perfect replacement of her dad. Her joy did not stop after leaving daddy. When the serious parts of the ceremony began, these two happily said their vows to each other. And you usually find members of of the audience who will remember how things were in their time as they married their wives or husbands. Tosin and Bolu signed off on their certificates with all enthusiasm. Supported by the pastors signatures, this wedding was officially sealed with evidence. and all present cheered joyfully as the Husband and Wife were presented to the multitude. After church and those pictures that follow, we went to take photographs of the wedding party at a nearby hotel and we had fun with this awesome set of people.
Photographs done, it was time for the dancing to begin. We walk into the hall and BOOM!!!!!! Ayefele himself, thrilling the crowd.
in this beautiful setting! It was into that setting that these two beautiful souls stepped into and what dance steps they pulled out of their hats. Look at their faces. Funny huhn? Wait! why do we make funny faces when we dance? One thing you would have noticed about Bolu and Tosin is how much they loved each others company.
Look again, even as the chairman was talking, they were busy whispering into each others ears. The MC and Mrs Folorunsho Alakija had to restate a number of things for them to ensure they had good advice for their future together. I have heard a lot about Mrs Folorunsho Alakija, how humble and christianly she is. Here she proved it. Soft spoken and deeply spiritual. She said the prayer for this couple after they had cut their cake and it was a beautiful prayer. . It was time for the dancing and it first began with Tosin asking his mom to dance with him for the last time as a bachelor. What he did not bargain for was the flood of emotions that flowed as tears out of his eyes. Only a truly confident man will freely express his emotions with tears. When it was Bolu’s turn to dance with her father, you could see the love between them and her joy at what he had done, teaching her to find the right man. Even dad was proud of her choice, pointing the way confidently at the young man who had taken his daughter’s heart. It was clearly with approval.
At the first couple dance, the tenderness between both of them was evident. The baby? Leave this story! Let your minds tell you what ever it is it tells you. Now this is why those two young men were so eager to rush off Bolu. After being used as experiments for her medical journey, having spoons stuffed down their throats, they were in a mood to let someone else try out the skill she had learnt in medical school. Afterwards came the siblings family photography and the toast by this dapper best man. …..and then the flying catch! This is one of the finest catches of a thrown bouquet I have seen. and the bouquet did not survive the pull and the push! Or did it? Finally, Tosin came up to give his vote of thanks and what an emotional speech it was. Bolu and Tosin had a last surprise for us. Her second dress had a long train! She was not going to let go her chance to wear long trains. She wore it all day. Tosin and Bolu had a fantastic wedding. We really enjoyed ourselves at this wedding.
