TGIF, whoop!
April and Ehren have just shared their story and some of their wedding photos for wedding lovers and you just gotta love it.
Innovative Planner April, was almost sure she knew when her beau Ehren would propose and yet, he still managed to surprise her!
How the proposal happened:
Okay, so I, April, LOVE surprises, but because I am an innovative planner (Ehren’s translation would be ‘nosey’, lol!) it seems almost impossible for people to surprise me. Anyhow, I knew something was up because Ehren made a big deal about taking me to dinner and that I had to be on time (as if I’m ever late ;)), so I figured he was going to have some of our family and friends meet us at the restaurant (Delta’s) and pop the question!
Well, as we were preparing to leave my house, Ehren started pacing the floor; truthfully, I thought he was taking ill and was about to pass out or something! I was thinking to myself, ‘Please don’t pass out, I can’t pick you up’ lol! All of a sudden he dropped down to one knee and said something, along with ‘the Bible says a man who finds a wife, finds a GOOD THING (he was teaching y’all :)) and obtains favour from the Lord…’ I was in total shock to see him on his knee… lol!
Remember, I mentioned one of my hats was planning? In that moment, I realised no one was in the living room to capture the moment (don’t judge me :), so I yelled for my daughter, Zyjira, (my words to be exact, ‘Jira, Ehren is a proposing!’ Jira being her mother’s child, knew to bring her iPhone to take pictures and she actually got some video footage. I said “YES!” of course, then I helped him up (lol, I’m joking). I kinda knew the proposal was going to happen that day, Saturday, November 15, 2014, but I definitely wasn’t expecting it to happen before dinner. Drumroll please…so, I have to admit, he got me…in more ways than one.
