Kylie Jenner’s lip kit is arguably the most popular product to hit the beauty world in 2016. For whatever reason you might want to buy the kit, whether you are a Kylie stan, or you are just curious about why it can’t seem to stay in stock for anything longer than 24 hours, the question is, is it really worth the $29 price tag? The matte lipsticks are the most popular, the glosses go for $15 and the metal matte cost $18. In Naira speak, the prices range from about 4,500 to 9,000.
The truth is, if you are not a beauty blogger looking to review the kits for your blog or vlog, and want to buy them for personal use they may not really be worth it.
If your argument against our verdict is that you love the colours and it’s not just the product name you are buying, then there are several way cheaper dupes in the market in the exact same shades as those in the whole lipstick line.
The most controversial dupe, is Colorpop’s liquid lipstick line which is rumoured to have the exact same formula as Kylie’s and come in the exact same shades as the ones available from her line. Although Jenner has addressed these rumors and declared them false, it’s pretty hard to spot a difference between the two swatches below from both products.
