Ghanaian label AAKS, with designer Akosua Afriyie-Kumi at the helm specializes in colorful handcrafted bags created in a women’s co-op in Bolgatanga, Ghana using techniques unique to the area and made with raffia ecologically harvested from family farmers in Ghana.
The Spring Summer collection features totes, cross body and mini bags and clutches striped in bright hues. Leather handles, gold hardware and tassels finish off the beautiful, boho chic pieces which are shown of in a bright and fresh lookbook.
