‘Tulled’ To Perfection: AMVCA’s Finest Ladies Slay in Tulles

As we eagerly anticipate the grandeur and splendour of tonight’s AMVCA edition 9, let us take a delightful stroll down memory lane, admiring how these stars triumphantly embraced tulles, achieving perfection in their sartorial choices for their AMVCA edition 8 looks in 2022

Caroline Danjuma’s Babydoll Dress

There is an indescribable allure to the colour palette of this ensemble, whispering the essence of “soft life.” The magnificent tulle cape stole the show, while the bedazzled lace dress and elegant up do played their respective roles, ensuring this ensemble was an absolute triumph on the AMVCA red carpet.

Osas Ighodaro, The Undisputed “Best-Dressed” Champion

AMVCA bestowed upon her the title of “best-dressed,” and as the Best Actress in a Drama, she effortlessly slayed in this grey diamanté attire. It was breathtaking, with its transparent, body-hugging silhouette and the cascading layers of tulle adorning its train. What more could we expect from such a stylish actress?

Toke Makinwa’s Tulle Bombshell for the Second Look

A bombshell through and through, TokStar came prepared with this particular ensemble, her second appearance during the AMVCA 8 night. While her initial and primary looks were exceptional, this dress diverged from her usual style, yet she owned it wholly. The jewelled neckline and panelled waistline flawlessly brought the entire look together without overpowering it. She perfectly rocked this red tulle dress, deserving a perfect 10.

Tacha Akide’s Silver Goddess Vibes

This ensemble was a magnificent tribute to Tacha’s riverine heritage. She exuded the aura of a majestic marine goddess, donning a deep-ocean hue, metallic “scales,” and a mermaid silhouette accentuated by a trailing tulle train. Although the Chinese bun and sticks deviated from the expected cultural norms, the fusion of Afro-Oriental elements added a unique touch that we simply couldn’t complain about.
