For the May Edition of the Blogger’s Edit (might we say the most consistent fashion editorial from a brand thus far,) Wana Sambo has continued a marketing push into the UK by partnering with a second British based blogger in a row. Wana Sambo is collaborating with Paula Okunzuwa, an emerging model and dedicated personal style blogger who writes out of her eponymous blog, Paul Okunzuwa. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, here’s a short bio on the model.
Paula Okunzuwa was signed with D1 models in 2009 before moving to Nevs Models in December 2010. Ever since, Paula has featured in numerous editorials such as Vogue, Factice, JUKE, 125Magazine, Spindle, FAB Magazine, Absolutely Magazine, Black Hair Magazine, IDOL , amongst several others. Paula has walked the runway for designers like Ralph & Russo, Lie Sang Bong, Kokon To Zai, PUMA, Anita Quansah London, Adebayo Jones, Sulaimi Brookman, to name but a few.
The new editorial sees Wana Sambo truly embrace the see-now, buy-now trend driven aesthetic of high street brands with it’s main look for the edit, the JESSICA PEARSON co-ord pair. Inspired by the character Jessica Pearson from the show Suits, the edit sports peplumed power blouses with folder lapels and asymmetric skirts made with cotton/polyester textured woven suit fabric.
Okunzuwa also models the Roseline pair, a tunic and wide leg pant combo, also alternate the pants of the Roseline pair with a Top Shop blouse embellished with three dimensional crosses and the Mustard Wrap pair, a tawny yellow suit combo with black lapelled loose jacket and loose dress pants. Okunzuwa’s years of experience as a model come through in every photo, giving us some seriously amazing photos.
Two British based fashion bloggers in, we know for sure now that Wana Sambo has sights set firmly on world domination. We wonder where she’ll go next.
