The just concluded London Fashion Week saw a lot more creativity than the New York Fashion Week.
In series of posts, TSS will be dishing out our most striking 2016 collections that graced the runway.
Alexander McQueen
This season marks the first time Alexander McQueen would showcase a collection at London Fashion Week since 2001.
Antonio Beradi
Berardi combines contrasting fabrics and textures for a contemporary, romantic finish. In one case, a heavy chain mail vest hangs over an airy Chantilly lace gown, whilst elsewhere lace is treated with rubber or else added to a biker top. Whilst leather lacing reveals the flesh beneath, careful additions of a corset or modesty peplum ensures that nothing is exposed, creating an air of mystery and sensuality.
Sophia Webster
Sophia Webster presented a vibrant spring/summer 2016 collection at The Hospital Club for London Fashion Week. The new looks were bright, colourful and full of life.
Temperley London
Alice Temperley for her autumn/winter 2016 collection had an enthralling line-up of ultra-feminine dresses, embroidered capes and military-style jackets.
Evening gowns adorned with sequins, and tiered dresses featuring intricate sheer elements, whilst wrap dresses with revealing slits were paired with studded ankle boots. Corduroy suiting included a cropped jacket with embroidered trim, worn with high-waisted trousers, an exaggerated ruffle blouse and velvet boots.
