This week on The Strut, can Yegwa Ukpo strike oil twice?
IFS TIPS STRANGER’S YEGWA UKPO AS CURATOR
The 2016 International Fashion Showcase is upon us. We talked about it here, and the labels representing us at the showcase. We’re beyond chuffed to announce that Yegwa Ukpo the creative director at Stranger Lagos has been tapped by the Style House Files and the British Council to curate this year’s exhibition. Ukpo curated last year’s exhibitions, and while the individual designers were looked over for the individual awards, under his direction, Team Nigeria won the curator’s award.
This year’s exhibition themed ‘Across the bleed’ featuring new face at Few Models Daberechi Ukoha and veteran Uju Marshall. The exhibition starts on the 19th all the way through to the 23rd. We wish team Nigeria all the best out there. Knock em dead kids!

OLAJUMOKE SIGNS WITH PAYPORTE
Olajumoke Orisaguna, (Yeah that Olajumoke) is really the face of the moment, as promised last month, the bread seller turned model just signed her contract with online retailer, Payporte. The new deal with them will have her feature as the face of all their campaigns for the next year. This makes sense as Payporte is largely an aspirational brand and Olajumoke’s story is definitely going to drum up some interest in the services they offer.
LUCIANO KAZEEM AND ALEXANDRA AMUCHE ARE PARAMOURS FOR GENEVIEVE’S VALENTINE ISSUE
G.I models just scored it’s first major coup of the year. Alexandria Amuche and Luciano Kazeem got tipped to front Genevieve Magazine’s main valentine editorial, wearing pieces from JZO, Moofa, Weizdhurm Franklyn. Shot by Hakeem Salam of HSPI images and styled by Ifeoma Odogwu of Hyperfashun, with make up by Zaron cosmetics by the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge. Tres romantic.
