TSS Red Carpet Fashion: Ghanaian or Nigerian Celebrities, Who Slays Better?

The Red carpet is a place of class, elegance and glamour. The pressure to be on point can without doubt cause one to commit certain Red carpet blunders.

Over the cause of many Red carpet events, many of our African celebs have #slayed while others only literally succeed in slaying their attempts to slay.

The debate as to who takes to the Red carpet better between Nigerian and Ghanian celebrities seems to come alive with every concluded award session.

The Ghanians have my vote in this regard. This is  not without cause or merit. Here are some reasons why Ghanian Celebrities excel better on the red carpet than Nigerian Celebrities using the recently concluded Vodafone Ghana Music Festival and the Amstel Malta Viewers’ Choice Award as a case study.

Dressing according to your body shape

Be it a red carpet event or not, the importance of dressing according to your body size cannot be over emphasized. Aside complementing your body type, it generally makes you look better. People with protruding tummies (ladies especially) should avoid outfits that fit too tight around their tummy. Except you pregnant and trying to pull off a sexy pregnant Kim Kardashian look, there’s nothing sexy about having to see, in 3D, how unfit you are!

Below are pictures of Irene Logan dressed according to her body shape and Dayo Amusa leaving us to wonder if she added some more flesh around her upper arm after her designer took her measurements.

DAYO AMUSA

Dress according to the occasion.

It is rather disrespectful to attend a very important event poorly dressed since whatever is worth doing should be done well. In order words, Yvonne Jegede Should not have attended the AMVCA since she planned to look like she was attending a birthday party. Zero efforts!

On another hand, kudos to Efya for looking so regal in her daring purple dress!

Do not over do it!

It is very paramount not to go over board in order to avoid foiling what otherwise would have resulted in a very brilliant work.

Ini Edo, Nigerian actress cum politician disregarded this rule while planning for the AMVCA. She looked good no doubt however, she also looked like she was making a stop over at the AMVCA on her way to her wedding.

Below are pictures of Berla Mundi and Ini Edo rocking dresses that both have trails whereas, Berla’s unlike Ini’s is not too much for the occassion.
