We are super crushing on The5kshop’s new bag collection

While we haven’t done a proper post on The5k shop and the amazing work they are doing bringing sustainable, affordable, high quality fashion to the Nigerian masses (shame on us, we’re getting to it right away,) we’re getting off our asses and telling you about our latest find from the high street retailer.

Sophia Ike-Onu’s small business has grown into one of the biggest and most reliable independent fashion retailers in the country, no mean feat when you consider how incredibly hard it is to do business with integrity. But Ike-Onu is not content with providing high quality, accessible fashion, she is also eager and ready to innovate, as evinced by The5Kshop’s new accessories line.

The5KShop has partnered with artisans across Lagos to create a line of print hand bags in various styles and from what we can see of them, they’re totally glorious. Offering styles from totes to bucket bags, to purses and clutches and even oversized shopping bags, there is literally an affordable bag for every woman in the new The5Kshop collection.

Here are some of our favorites from the new collection.

The5kShop bucket bag is simple, stylish and glorious. With leather piping and trimming and vibrant print, it is the perfect day bag.

This premium Lady Croc mini is a little pricier than the 5Kshop’s motto (nothing more expensive than 5k) but it is well worth the extra naira. It’s so beaut.

This large shopper bag and it’s complementary shoulder clutch are too clutch to let go of, practical and versatile, what’s not to love?

And of course, the classic clutch. What would we do without one?

What are you waiting for? You should be shopping already. You can do that here.
