Nollywood starlet Adunni Ade might bring to life some very culturally illiterate characters in her film portrayals, but she is anything if not cultured. The multi-racial actress might still be in dire need of an acting coach, but she has come out of near obscurity in two short years, to become a true contender for the most stylish red carpet queen.
With an eye for clothes that flatter her silhouettes and a mastery of the perfect chingnon, Adunni Ade knows just the right fashion risks to take and pushes the envelope just enough to draw the right kind of attention to herself.
It’s sort of amazing, considering she doesn’t have a celebrity stylist padding her wardrobe.

It wouldn’t be proper if we didn’t start with this dress from Tiannah’s Empire. It might have brought her into the limelight, but for all the wrong reasons. Considering the fashion evolution she’s gone through, we’re starting to suspect this was just a very elaborate PR thing.
This look from the Beyond Blood film premiere really made everyone sit up and take notice. The fringed skirt with subtle gladiator accents of her shoes turned an otherwise safe look into a great example of proper era references. The soft waves didn’t hurt either.
This Abbyke Domina sheer dress from her Fly Girl collection was sort of meh to us, but Adunni did a fantastic job fronting the editorial campaign for the collection and here she is repping the brand as well at the Remember Me premiere.
This Simeogeme Spring 16 collection was the one of the more talked about collections of late 2015, with it’s campaign star Melissa Devidal becoming one of the industry’s biggest models. Adunni Ade was the first person to truly do a piece from this collection justice with this classic look at the Diary of a Lagos girl premiere. Just goals.
And even when she is at less formal events, she still slays. Just like she did in aso ebi at the Julie Odia wedding earlier this year.
