Ghana Fashion & Design Week is pleased to welcome Mercedes-Benz as a partner to the annual event this year. Synonymous with Fashion and Design innovation, renowned luxury Car brand – Mercedes-Benz partners with Ghana Fashion & Design Week for the first time at this year GFDW 2015 event, supported by Silver Star Auto Ltd., who are the sole and leading agent of the luxury car brand in Ghana.
Mercedes-Benz is well known for its unique alignment with Fashion Weeks on the global fashion landscape, and the only Automobile brand significantly at the forefront of creative development support of local and international fashion business platforms, laying focus on, and promoting emerging new design talents. As the world’s first automaker, design innovation remains at the centre of Mercedes-Benz luxury cars unique engineering pioneered by its inventor Carl Benz.
According to the organizers, “We are honoured to have the support of Silver Star Auto Ltd. (SSAL) Ghana, who shares in our innovative ideas and vision for creative industry and talent development through design education and entrepreneurship for social and economic inclusion.”
2014 Fashion Design graduate of Radford University College (RUC) in Accra, Afua Biney has already been a beneficiary of SSAL – Silver Star Award of Excellence, as the best fashion design graduate in her year. Afua, who has been under guidance and development support since 2014 at the GFDW New Talent Spot™ initiative space, will reveal her premiere collection at the event this year. Also, three new best fashion design 2015 graduate talents from Radford University will join Afua at the initiative space.
As part of its exciting activities at this year event, GFDW introduces “STYLE & STEEL” turning a special focus on the Men Behind the Mercedes-Benz luxury Car Wheels, some of which will have the opportunity to be rewarded with a healthy Wellbeing treatment after a long day drive at the Luxury XMen Spa & Grooming Bar with ease and comfort.
XMen also want to make sure these Men of good taste can further enjoy the healthy experience at the grooming bar with a 20% Grooming Gift Reward for the whole month of October 2015, within which GFDW event takes place, offering them the opportunity to prep ready for a true experience with Mercedes-Benz at the fashion week.
Not complete without the ladies of Style, to compliment the Mercedes-Benz ladies, and those in the lives of the “Men Behind Wheels” Designer label 1981 by Nana Brenu, will open its doors for them to shop quality pieces at a limited period with a 10% Fashion Gift Reward after the fashion week.
