Dakore Akande is all girl next door for the new Victoria Roberts by Mobos campaign

Victoria Roberts by Mobos, the in-house label of fashion retailer MOBOS gained some serious traction in 2015 after its launch in late 2014. It signed on actress and philanthropist Dakore Akande as ambassador and released a fashion collection that ended up on a lot of red carpets, quickly becoming a staple of many celebrities.

Capitalizing on that success, the label has just released campaign images for a second collection featuring Dakore Akande, as well as models Cassandra Ikegbune and Pamela Ifeneme.

Shot by Moussa Moussa who has worked extensively with the label, the new collection sees the models show us a more playful side of the label in maxi dresses, sequinned evening gowns and super casual day wear. The tailoring at Victoria Roberts is always superb but the collection suffers from the sophomore curse.

Victoria Roberts debut collection was more distinctive and ornate. This one would just as easily become lost in a rack of dresses. Our favourite pieces from the collection are the collection of dress shirts, in particular the striped shiny shirt with bow detailing.

It is also great to see Cassandra Ikegbune back to doing editorial work, she was sorely missed during her hiatus.
