Miskay Boutique, one of Lagos’s biggest boutiques with two outlets, and one of the few functional digital retail outlets has set itself apart by its innovative approach to marketing. Miskay is one of the first independently owned clothing retail stores to use ambassadors and shoot annual campaigns. The first ambassador was actress and TV presenter Zainab Balogun, who fronted it’s campaign in 2014, and then blogger and socialite, Laura Ikeji in 2015. For 2016, the boutique has tapped rapper MoCheddah as its face.
This year’s campaign is much bigger than most though. This is the first time the campaign will come with afashion film. A lot of it could have been handled a lot better, especially the styling. Miskay Boutique primarily resells British and American high street brands, so there were a plethora of styles to choose from, the styling doesn’t really do MoCheddah justice. The campaign is pretty sweet otherwise.
