So communications power house MTN Nigeria has been seeking ways to reacquaint itself with tthe Nigerian fashion industry. Five years ago, it was front and centre, sponsoring the Lagos Fashion and Design Week and it’s Fashion Focus incubator programme. For whatever reason it decided to take a back seat and threw itself wholly into the entertainment industry instead, delving full into music promotion and merchandizing. With those communities conquered it has finally come full circle with it’s MusicPlus 24 event.
Two weeks ago MusicPlus 24 officially launched at Civic Centre, in partnership with luxury drinks brand Laurent Perrier. Laurent Perrier has been a long time supporter of Fashion in Nigeria and the MusicPlus 24 event was a great way for it to get introduced to music insiders and afficionados. The event was a fusion of music and fashion – 24 apparel unveiled their new collection of snapbacks affiliated with MTN and Falz and Simi shut the house down with their performances.
Noble Igwe, Paul O, Oreka Godis, Sika Osei, Lynxxx, Ariyike Akingbola, Praiz8 and Sound Sultan were some of the celebrity guests at the event.
The event was supported by Laurent-Perrier Champagne.
