London born with Caribbean heritage designer Monisha Robinson is the founder and designer of men’s Avant Garde Statement accessories Mocaro.
Mocaro is an opulent and distinctive men’s accessory brand inspired by British style and culture which has influenced international fashion trends for decades.
By incorporating silver and vermeil as part of its signature style it is clear that this brand was created for the modern-day man who wants to stand out from the crowd.
Designed, manufactured and produced in England, Mocaro pieces are incorporated with precious metals forged with meticulous craftsmanship and hand stamped with the registered British hallmark. Not all ties feature the silver detailing but all of ties maintain the high-quality fabrics; the navy Terminus Classic Tie is 100% silk with a black 100% satin tip.
Highlights from the collection include the leather Hercules Ready Ties. These limited-edition bowties are made from 100% genuine Nappa leather and 100% genuine suede finished with a hallmarked 925 sterling silver with an adjustable neckband. Mocaro also offers a bespoke service for clients who would like to create their own piece of tailored luxury.
It was during her work experience placement at secondary school that Monisha realized she was born to work in the fashion industry. Robinson was fortunate enough to gain work experience as a theatrical costumier assistant for the critically acclaimed Matthew Bourne play Edward Scissor Hands at Sadler’s theatre and the experience left an indelible mark on her.
Robinson later went on to study Fashion Business and design at the world renowned London College of Fashion. After she finished her studies she gained valuable experience working alongside skilled craftsmen in Hatton Garden that had honed their skill in jewel making for over 35 years.
Robinson used her expertise and skills within the jewellery trade to launch her own luxury men’s accessories brand incorporating precious metals and the finest fabrics after spotting a niche in the men’s luxury market.

The brand’s statement bow ties have been worn by several celebrities and most recently worn by Grammy Award Winner Gregory Porter at GQ Berlin Men of the Year Awards 2017.
