It truly is the year of Nigerian models.
Earlier this year, Elite Model Look Nigeria 2012 winner Moyin Arowoshola announced that she had secured a modelling contract with a British Modelling agency after two years unrepresented. She then went to walk at debut at the 2015 London Fashion Week, for Ashish UK and Vivienne Westwood. A phenomenal first season by many standards, one that introduced her to the British runway and editorial circuits and announced her as a true contender to the It girl crown held by fellow elite winner Mayowa Nicholas.
After working on a number of small editorials and catalogs, Arowoshola is finally getting the recognition she deserves, fronting her very first high concept editorial for British Structural design label, Georgina Hardinge’s Autumn 16 collection.
The new editorial sees Arowoshola model a number of futuristic looks alongside Asian model Kea L. The editorial was shot by French photographer Nhu Xhan Hua and the hair and make up is done by Diana Moar and Andy Drammeh.
Georgina Hardinge shot into prominence for her architectural influenced designs and futuristic collection and has been recognized by international organizations including the British Fashion Council. She was also awarded the BFC Contemporary sponsorship grant for her contributions to fashion.
Congratulations to Moyin. This is only the beginnning.
