Nothing but blue skies: The Tzar Spring 16 ‘1706’ ad campaign is here

For those who follow Nigeria’s growing menswear scene, there is no way you can miss Ian Audifferen’s Tzar. The alt-label that got its start at the Lagos Fashion and Design Fashion Focus competition has grown from a brand known for its bold prints and very fresh take on vintage inspired shirts. Tzar has toned down the volume and expanded its repertoire to serve a much older market.

With a minimalist palette of washed out Creams and Greys and the addition of Adire to it’s print roster, Tzar 1706 Spring 16 collection has the label return to it’s Nigerian roots in spectacular fashion.

The collection which we reviewed here is getting the press treatment with a formal ad campaign. Tapping emerging model Victor Ekeng for the shoot (the label has a history of discovering fresh faces and bringing them to the focus of the menswear industry), Tzar offers us a skyclad man this season, always at ease and unafraid to show a little skin. The contrasts and the high impact colours are atypical of the brand.

Colour us impressed.
