Nigerian bespoke tailoring brand REVES has released its lookbook for their latest menswear collection, A Man’s Diary.
According to the brand, the new collection is a reflection of a man’s innate desire to look the part regardless of the occasion. Reves aims to help express the man’s individuality, identity and style with the new offerings.
The collection is currently a label that focuses exclusively on bespoke tailoring, so the pieces that constitute this collection seem geared more towards showing the label’s mastery of classic menswear silhouettes rather than demonstrating us how left of field they can be. Waist coats, jackets with coat tails, the classic three piece, jacquard print blazers and tailored white shirts all constitute the looks that make up this look book and photographer Kunmi Owopetu does a stellar job helping sell the clothes. The back drop and lighting keeps things fresh and accessible.
We are starting to feel like a broken record, but really, apart from the great tailoring and the photographer’s watermark, there is nothing that distinguishes this label’s clothes from any of the other several other emerging bespoke menswear brands. Perhaps a signature silhouette or piece or print would do wonders.
