I… I found it hard to look her in the eyes after I said it. If there was ever a chronic shy person, it was me.
I was the kind of person who’d not even say anything, even if I knew it’d hurt me. But this was different. All my shyness didn’t stop me.
I knew what I felt and strong as it was, it wouldn’t leave me. Strong as it was, it pushed the words out of me.
And then, she came to me. She knew all of the fight that I’d had in me. And she knew I had felt it so strong that it couldn’t stay within me.
She lifted my chin. And she kissed me.
